In collaboration with the production company INNEVENTO, the Hortzmuga Teatroa theatre company has designed a show based on R. Warner’s Ghost Ship overture which had been performed at the inauguration of the Euskalduna Palace. In honour of the occasion Hortzmuga Teatroa put together a massive show, incorporating both the river and the facade of the Euskalduna Palace, with a tug as a novel part of the stage design. Combining a great dose of imagination with water jets and sprinklers, they created a moving screen of water onto which they projected lights and images of the ten years of the Palace. The facade of the Euskalduna became the stage for a spectacle of fireworks and music, with Shanti Basauri’s ad-hoc composition emulating the rebirth of the Palace.
